Lord Byron Z

Lord Byron Z is partly named after his sire Lord, producer of many top-class showjumpers such as Livius {Peter Luther} and Lugana II (Stefan Lauber}, Tovia (Katie Monahan Prudent} and America I (Susan Hutchinson}. Lord Byron Z`s dam`s sire Fra Diavolo is a son of jumping progenitor Frivol II from lineage 7126, that also produced the stallions Acord II, Burggraaf and Catango Z. Fra Diavolo is valuable in the pedigree of showjumping horses. We find him in the stallion Landsdown (Landgraf I} who jumped successfully under Franke Sloothaak. Also the International jumper Lucilla II (Landgraf I} who came 16th at the `97 Mannheim European Championship and also jumped in the `98 Rome World Championship, comes out of a Fra Diavolo daughter. Very interesting, as well, is the fact that Lord Byron Z`s dam Karibik is also dam of the International showjumping horse Lucky Luke (Landgraf I} whose sport results include a 5th in the Berlin World Cup, a 2nd in the `s-Hertogenbosch World Cup and a 4th in the Harrisburg World Cup under Otto Becker and McLain Ward. The female line of Lord Byron Z goes back, through General, to the mare Gilda, a daughter of Lorbeer x Meisterschuß from lineage 1986. Gilda is a full sister to the stallion Lorbeerzweig and grandam of the stallion Fährmann (Fähnrich}. Lord Byron Z is presently jumping at Z-level (1.30m} under Pieter Kersten.
